About Us
Who we are
VVMS was founded by Ge'Nelle Guerrero McIlwain during the 2008 recession. Previously, GeNelle worked applying her background in Biology and Physiology to represent a full portfolio of surgical products as a Medical Device Sales Representative while learning the operations and procedures of procuring contracts with hospitals and surgery centers throughout Southern California. She spent many hours in hospitals and operating rooms where she met her now husband and business partner, Christian McIlwain.
Harnessing her experience and discovering many opportunities in both the Medical Supplies and Animal Health Industry during the downturn of the economy, she began approaching manufacturers who were in need of a dedicated sales team although not in a position to hire employees.
While many of her colleagues were looking for employment, she began to market herself as a liaison partnering with medical manufacturing companies as an independent sales representative. As she gained a portfolio of clients, she quickly advanced towards her dream of owning a Medical Device Sales and Veterinary Supplies Business.
Thus with the encouragement of her husband and family, Vida Veterinarian and Medical Supplies was born.
Vida translates to Life. Vida Veterinarian and Medical Supplies' mission is to provide service and support to Medical and Veterinary Professions with products that can facilitate advancements in treatments and their practice allowing people or their pets to live healthier and fuller lives.
Ge'Nelle's experience, partnered with her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to this mission, has allowed VVMS to grow outside of Southern California providing both medical and veterinary professions guidance with specialized products that are progressive in multiple genres of medicine and advance patient care nationwide.
Her Business Partner and Husband Christian, continues to work as an Orthopedic Surgical Nurse for one of the leading Orthopedic Hospitals in the United States while consulting for VVMS with manufacturers and facilitating training events whenever necessary.
They share a home in South Orange County with two Boxers(who are rescues) and enjoy road-trips, spending time with family and exploring tropical Destinations.
